Do you ever have a wine and think, 'Wow, has this been around since the dinosaurs?' This one went for the gold with a nice try. Its texture was more prehistoric than refined, and while it may have been going for rustic, it landed closer to plain old dusty.
Perhaps it was the way it clung to the sides of the glass, or maybe it was the musty aroma reminiscent of grandpa's old attic. Hard to say. It lingered on the palate like an unwelcome guest overstaying their visit.
