I tried a Malbec from Chile recently, and while it was good, it lacked that certain earthy quality. I wonder if anyone else has noticed the same difference?

I recently tried a Malbec from Mendoza, and it was an absolute delight. The complexity of flavors was incredible, from rich blackberries to a hint of cocoa. I had it with a nice steak dinner and it paired perfectly.

There's definitely a noticeable difference. I feel like Chilean Malbecs tend to focus more on the fruity notes, perhaps due to different winemaking practices.
