Some people seem convinced that older wines are always better, but that's not my experience at all. Freshness matters in whites, don't you think?

The oldest wine I ever had was a 2001 Chianti. Honestly, it was underwhelming. Maybe I just expected too much.

Freshness definitely plays a role. Some Sauvignon Blancs are just perfect within the first couple of years.
