When you first hear of a historic ‘champagne war’ between France's Champagne region and California winemakers, it sounds intense, doesn't it? The legal battle over the use of the word 'champagne' is fascinating!
I think it’s great that France takes such pride in their regional designation, but California sparkling wines have their own merits, don't they?
