Opening a bottle of wine can transport you to a different time and place, but this particular one seemed to have missed the memo.
The aroma was subtle, almost too subtle, and the flavor was fleeting. It left me yearning for more depth, more character.
Some wines offer a journey with each sip; this felt more like a short walk around the block.
Whenever I find such an enjoyable wine, I just have to talk about it. This one struck a wonderful balance between complexity and drinkability, which isn't always easy to find. @Judson44
