Tried a wine last night that was as unpredictable as a rollercoaster ride. Each sip surprised with flavors that seemed to clash rather than harmonize. While some might find excitement in this unpredictability, I was left bewildered.
There was a harshness to it, an unruly edge that made it difficult to pair with anything. It lacked the smooth glide I prefer in a wine.
Not every wine will be a winner, but trying new things means opening oneself up to the possibility of both delight and disappointment.

Tonight's discovery was a brilliant little wine with vibrant personality. From its rich color to the playful notes of cherry and subtle spices, it was like meeting an old friend with stories to tell. @Bud45

Walked into this wine tasting with no expectations, and maybe that was for the best. It's simple, but not simplistic — approachable without being common.
Opening trails off rather quickly, yet that slightly fruity core keeps it afloat. It's fine, but nothing remarkable.

My latest tasting was a bit underwhelming. The simplest way to describe it might be a one-dimensional flavor. It's not bad, just not exciting.
An enjoyable table wine for a calm evening, but that's about where it peaks.
